The Guildford O Gauge Group is a model railway club that is dedicated to modelling in all forms 7 mm to 1ft scale. The club is based at Normandy Village Hall 4 miles to the west of Guildford which meets weekly on Mondays nights between 7.30 - 9.30 pm Running sessions are available bi-weekly on the club test track and approximately every 6 weeks on our large Normandy Junction layout.
The GOGG is a welcoming club that attracts members from a wide area to meet, share and enjoy a mutual interest. The club currently consists of around 50 members from skilled modellers to enthusiasts who just run models and those newly interested in O Gauge. The use of Normandy Junction and our 5 road test track provides excellent facilities the run full length O Gauge trains. Opportunities are also available to get involved in the construction and running of our 2 small layouts, Normandy shed and Wednesleigh.
The club is also well known for its O Gauge Reading Trade Show held every December with 100+ traders in attendance to meet the modeller’s needs. We also hold 3 Open days per annum at Normandy where club and visiting layouts are on display together with a small number of traders.
We are a very active club so if you are interested in O Gauge, come along and enjoy the fun. New members are always welcome no matter whether you are an experienced modeller or just starting.
